Dad's French Toast
My father's french toast as is famed among many of my childhood friend's favorite food on the morning after a sleepover. For the desired flavor/effect, you MUST use *pure maple syrup* both in the batter and as the syrup topping.

Steps
● Whisk the heavy cream, eggs, maple syrup, vanilla extract and salt in a shallow bowl
● Turn the slices in the mixture until thoroughly saturated but not falling apart
● In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter
● Add as many slices of bread to the skillet as will fit without crowding and cook until the underside is golden brown
● Flip and cook the other side until golden brown
● Serve immediately or keep warm in an oven at 200* F while you finish cooking the rest

Heavy Cream x 2/3 Cup
Large Eggs x 4 Egg
Pure Maple Syrup x 2 Tbsp
Vanilla Extract x 1 Tsp
Salt x 1/4 Tsp
White Bread x 6 Slices
Unsalted Butter x 2 Tbsp
